The Victorian government has announced $3.59 million in funding to improve the energy efficiency of the state’s commercial office buildings.

Baenziger Coles, an architecture and interior design company, is making an annual financial saving of $2655, and an annual energy and CO2 saving of 18,400 kiloWatt hours/26,030 kilogram Co2 equivalent, after installing a solar panel system.

Following the award of $1 million through the Energy Efficiency Information Grants program, the CitySwitch green offices program will go national and regional.
The Net Balance Foundation won a $1 million grant this week from the Federal government of $1 million and will be partner in the work.

As part of this, Signatories to the program commit to achieve an accredited NABERS Energy tenancy rating (between 4 and 6 stars) and
work with CitySwitch to improve their tenancy’s environmental performance.
