Financing energy efficient lighting

A range of financing schemes is available to assist with auditing and capital costs, implementation, and installation of energy efficient lighting. Broadly, the options available are:

  • Loans and leases – includes Energy Performance Contracting, Energy Upgrade Agreements, and equipment leasing
  • Grants and rebates – several provide subsidies especially for audits and there is support from the Commonwealth and State governments and city councils)

All of these mechanisms can be applied for lighting upgrades. For more information on the options available see the Financing Sustainable Office Upgrades resources.
