The CitySwitch program is a successful model of national collaboration by city governments. It is jointly funded by the Cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and several smaller local government councils.
Services to members are delivered by local program managers who understand the local business context. Program resources and campaigns are delivered by a national program office that ensures high quality execution and consistency.
A national steering committee provides strategic input to ensure that the program continues to meet the needs of participating councils and participating members.
The program uses the NABERS system as its primary reporting metric, so that members have an impartial and comparable measure of achievement that assists them to benchmark their performance on a national basis.
CitySwitch engages with State and Commonwealth government to be the voice for office based businesses and ensure an effective policy context for office based businesses to achieve maximum sustainability at maximum efficiency.
The program works with other peak bodies, engagement and leadership programs at a systems level to ensure that the built environment, as a sector, is well placed to lead the way to a carbon positive future for all.
