Today’s facilities are constantly evolving, so make sure you’re up to date with the latest management trends and regulations at Australia’s single most important facilities management event and CitySwitch partner, Total Facilities, this 18-19 April 2018.

Making a building smarter can be simple - you just need to know how! And as the nation’s most prized event for facilities and like-minded professionals, Total Facilities brings together intelligent solutions, uncomplicated strategies and the right connections to future proof your building or workplace for the new era.

The event returns to Melbourne this year, bringing with it arguably the best value and largest dedicated Facilities education program in the industry. The free-to-attend program, presents tried and tested strategies from expert panelist to inform the facility and workplace agenda.

CitySwitch will also be hosting a session in the KONE Smart Building Theatre.

The sessions titled, Controlling the building to reduce costs and complaints, (Thurs 19 Apr 11:45am) will discuss the challenges many buildings face in juggling HVAC efficiency with occupant comfort.

It will address how FMs can use control systems to improve HVAC performance and provide immediate benefits in terms of energy use and costs. With this knowledge FMs can make adjustments without the risk of increased occupant complaints – a constant obstacle to FM professionals.

The discussion will be led by and expert panel comprising;  NABERS’ Alberta McAteer, JLL’s Michael Thompson and the City of Melbourne’s Paul Whelan as they debate the opportunities, evidence, potential savings and pros/cons of low cost options to improve HVAC efficiency in buildings.
