CitySwitch signatories celebrate record achievements

CitySwitch had a record year in 2014, with a 30 per cent growth in offices signed to the program and 840 efficiency projects reported.

Collectively these signatories achieved reductions of over 85,000 tonnes of carbon emissions and 75 GWh energy, delivering a savings of over $14 million to signatories and energy savings equivalent to the energy use of 12,712 average homes.

In 2014, CitySwitch held over 15 education and training events nationally and launched a suite of new culture change and energy efficiency toolkits. The network also strengthened with the launch of a dedicated Member to Member offers online program and the creation of a LinkedIn group, already  connecting over 300 members and providing a forum for information sharing and discussion.

The newly released CitySwitch National Progress Report 2014 celebrates these achievements and showcases the 2014 national award winners and initiatives CitySwitch has been undertaking to drive sustainability across the country.

As well as assisting with energy efficiency within the workplace, CitySwitch continues to inspire businesses to innovate and to pursue excellence. The program now supports over 650 offices, representing over 2.5 million square metres of office space.
