Public sector tenancies are invited to join this workshop to investigate the value of a focus group that specifically discusses the barriers, ambitions, successes and / or challenges of resource saving initiatives within the public sector in Western Australia.
This workshop is about sharing, learning and creating new opportunities. CitySwitch understands that as a government tenancy or building manager you have a responsibility to work within transparent and mandated processes, with a limited budget, and with minimal internal resources by which you can engage in initiatives such as energy and water efficiency.
Most public sector tenancies and building managers share these limitations and can learn from each other’s experiences more readily than ‘lessons learned’ within the private sector.
This workshop is designed to investigate the value of a focus group that specifically discusses the barriers, ambitions, successes and / or challenges of resource saving initiatives within the public sector in Western Australia.
This workshop will be chaired by the CitySwitch Program Manager at the City of Perth. CitySwitch Award Winners the WA Police (2013) and the Department of Housing (2014) will share their success stories.
At this workshop we will use a roundtable discussion to identify and capture successful and unsuccessful projects and initiatives and the process by which they were enacted. The intention is to share and learn from other CitySwitch signatory’s experiences and identify successful approaches that can be easily replicated. We will be taking advantage of and strengthening the relevant support network that already exists within CitySwitch, which may be able to assist with your current and future resource saving initiatives.
RSVP is essential to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 23 January, 2015.
