CitySwitch 2026 Champion Award Recipients
In April we revealed our annual results and CitySwitch champions for 2025.
2025 was a year for CitySwitch to reflect on the impact that the program has had over its two decades. CitySwitch began in 2005 as the CitySwitch Green Office program, with the goal of supporting office building tenants to improve their energy efficiency. Since then, the program has grown and shifted to support businesses on their entire emission reduction and net zero journey.
We continue to support over 176 businesses and organisations around Australia, ranging from small family businesses to large corporations.
This year your collective impact saw a reduction in the per square meter carbon dioxide intensity, dropping from 31 to 24 kilograms. Fifty percent of CitySwitch members are using energy from renewable sources, whether this is rooftop solar on their building, or through power purchase agreements like GreenPower.
The percentage of members measuring scope one and two emissions has remained consistent at 73%. An increase to those measuring scope three to 58% shows a growing trend of emission monitoring along value chains.
You can read more about these insights in our annual report.
We’re pleased to share our CitySwitch champions for 2025. These organisations displayed an on-going commitment to the program and to planning and reducing their emissions.
Congratulations to everyone who contributes to our incredible collective action it all counts. The ripple effects of your positive action are powerful.
