Typically, an energy action plan (also called an energy management plan) provides structure for a green lease and instructs how actions will be implemented for the duration of the tenancy's lifecycle.
Effective management matters: without it a building designed for a 4.5 NABERS star rating can operate at as little as 1.5 stars - doubling energy consumption and costs. A plan sets out ongoing monitoring and measurement so that measures originally put in place to increase efficiency do not deteriorate over time.
Whilst there is no uniform model for an energy management plan, there are common elements and steps underpinning this strategy.
